The provincial flag of La Pampa was hoisted for the first time in June 20th, 1996. It was created by means of provincial law #1513, adopted in December 3rd, 1993. The first manufactored copy is depoted in the provincial parlament palace. The law was written by Dr. Lu�s Alberto Galcer�n, head of the justicialist fraction of the provincial parlament.

Articulo 1�: Crease la Bandera de la Provincia de La Pampa, la que ser� identica a la nacional con dos franjas horizontales azul celeste y al medio una blanca. En el centro de esta �ltima ostentar� el escudo provincial.

Article 1st: Let it be created the flag of La Pampa Province, which will be identical to the national flag, with two horizontal sky blue stripes and a white one in between. The center of the latter shall sport the provincial emblem.

Shows a cald�n, a local xerophil tree (from the Espinal fitogeografic province), and a pampa indian riding a horse and holding his chuza (a kind of spear).
