Presentation of Lille

Lille is located in the arrondissement of Turnhout, c. 10 km south-west of Turnhout.
The name of Lille comes from linde and lo, lindenbush. It should not be confused with the French city of Lille (in Dutch, Rijssel).

Description of the flag

The flag is vertically divided blue-yellow-blue with the municipal coat of arms in the middle. The coat of arms shows St. Peter in yellow on a blue field.

The flag was adopted by Municipal decision 9 October 1985, confirmed by Ministerial decision 2 December 1985.
