Description of the flag

Lennik (8,000 inhabitants) is located in the arrondissement of Halle-Vilvoorde.

The flag is: Argent, a chevron Gules, three Moor-heads Sable, with headband Gules. Proportions are 2:3. The municipal arms are the arms of Corneille de Man, Lord of Lennik in the late 17th century. He designed the arms in 1699. The meaning of the arms, however, is not known.

The flag was adopted on 6 June 1989.
