Imperial Flag

[Central African Empire: Bokassa's flag] by Ivan Sarajcic

During the rule of Bokassa the national flag was unaltered. There was, however, an Imperial Flag. This was green, with a 20-pointed gold star in the middle upon which was an eagle with spread wings (also gold).
Stuart Notholt 8 December 1995

As it is hinted by Smith 1982, it seems that Bokassa took his emblem referring to the eagle of Napoleon Bonaparte, who seems have been his "idol".
Zeljko Heimer, 12 May 1999
