Adopted: 29 November 1996. Ratio: 1:1. Rongu is a rural municipality (vald) in Tartumaa County (Maakond).

Circle is the symbol of unity and refers to the name of municipality (Estonian rġngas is ring). Colors symbolize ripeness and fertility.
