North Sea fishery protection

The same flag but with proportion 2:3 is shown by Pedersen ([ped80]).
"Verzameling van verordeningen voor de Koninklijke Marine Nr. 9; Kleuren en afmetingen van vlaggen, vaandels enz., van belang voor de Koninklijke Marine", issued by the Royal Netherlands Navy. also gives a proportion of 2:3, the vertical division being at 1/3th of the length.

The ensign was suppressed after adoption of the European Union fishery ensign (cf. French note #3310 P-6 18 11 87).
