Presentation of Louviers

Louviers is a city of ca. 20,000 inhabitants (Lovériens) located on the river Eure.

Louviers was in the past famous for sheet fabrication and is still the center of the main producing area of flax (for oilseed and fiber) in France. Louviers has a beautiful church (Notre-Dame) built in the XIIIth century and decorated in the XVth century in Flamboyant style.

Description of the flag

The flag of Louviers can be seen in the front of the city hall, along with the French, European, and Normand flags. It is a white flag with the municipal logo in the middle. The logo is made of a pale green L in cursive over a dark green wave probably symbolizing the river Eure. It is written 'Ville de Louviers' over the logo.
