[Kingdom of Greece]by Herman De Wael

[Greek flag outside the country]by Edward Mooney

During the First Republic, Greece had two national flags. The plain cross flag was used inside the country and the cross and stripes flag, which today is Greece's only national flag, was used outside.

The President's standard under the Republic of 1924-1935 was a square version of the plain cross flag. It is specified in a Presidential Decree of 1930, although I don't know if it was in use before then (probably not - the President was "provisional" until December 1929 anyway!).
