Overview

Omišalj (Omis<alj) is a communiyl around a small coastal town in northern part of Krk Island with 2700 inhabitants. The Rijeka airport on Krk, the oil and gas terminal port and a oil rafinery are garants of the community future, but tourism is not underdeveloped either. The Coat of Arms adopted around 1995 is Gules, a tower embatteled argent issuant from a base azure and in chief a mullet or. The flag is white with the coat of arms in the middle.
