Overview

T�t is a large village in Gy�r-Moson-Sopron County in Hungary between the Town of P�pa (21 km north) and City of Gy�r (24 km south) in the Little Hungarian Plains. The settlement has got 4.252 inhabitants (1990 census), near all of Hungarians. One of the Official Ethnic Minorities of Hungary has got ethnic council in the village. The Gipsy. Neighbouring settlements are: R�baszentmih�ly, Kisbabot, R�baszentmikl�s, M�richida, Gy�m�re, Felp�c, Gy�rszemere villages and Gy�r city. In 1910 T�t was a village in the Sokor�alja district of Gy�r County. Number of inhabitants in 1910: 4.111; 4.103 (99,8%) Hungarian and 8 (0,2%) others by mother tongue, 1.935 (47,1%) Lutheran, 1.890 (46,0%) Roman Catholic, 432 (10,5%) Jew and 52 (1,3%) other by religion. 1920-1946 in Gy�r-Moson-Pozsony County, 1946-1949 in Gy�r-Moson County and 1950-now in Gy�r-Sopron (from 1990 Gy�r-Moson-Sopron) County.
The flag, the CoA and the seal were adopted on 10th May 1997. Ratio of the flag: 2:3

Description about the CoA:
Standing shield divided into four fields. In the left and top field there are a silver plougshare and coulter relate to the old seal of T�t village from 1697. In the second field there is a gold draw-well with a silver pail relates to the old seal of Szentk�t (Holy Well) village (now part of T�t with a beautiful Baroque church) from 1779. The gold crucifix and the black eagle in the third, blue field was the CoA of the Kisfaludy Family, relate to the famous celebrity of the settlement. The silver arm with silver sabre and gold star in the blue field was the CoA of the Poky Family, which family was the landlord of T�t. The silver vawy stripe relates to the Cs�ngota Brook.
