The website of this province mentions the existence of a flag
(bandiera) but I don't know how it looks like. It might probably
be red over yellow (or at least with these colours) and with the
CoA in the middle.

there is a foto of the flag of the Universitá di Bologna. The
text refers to 21 flags at the building, including the shown flag
with the logo of the University and a flag of the Facoltà di
Economia.

In the recent matches between Bologna and Sporting Lisbon
quite a number of fan flags where seen, from the Bologna side.
one was a white flag with a red and blue diagonal and the other
one a blue-red-white vertical tricolor.
