Gorzˇw: Nb. the word 'Wielkopolski' is a historical falsification as Gorzˇw was never part of the Wielkopolska (Greatpoland) historical province. 124.000 inhabitants in 1991. The founding date is given as 1257. In 1402 it was bought by the Teutonic Order from the Brandenburgian March. In Poland since WW2. It is in Gorzow Wielkopolskie county. German: Landsberg an der Warthe.
Gwidon S. Naskrent, 6 Sept 2000

Gorzow is a city with County-rights. Flag adopted in 1994. Ratio is 11:6. Landsberg carried a flag with three equal wide horizontal stripes in the colors red-white-yellow.
Jens Pattke, 9 Feb 2003

Correct name is Gorzˇw Wielkopolski. However, there are proposals to rename it to just Gorzˇw, because the city had only loose ties with historical Wielkopolska province.
