The picture above is a flag of two different, although related, things:
First of all, it is the flag of the Associação Académica de Coimbra
(Academic Association of Coimbra), the Coimbra University Student’s Union,
the oldest university in portugal. It is also the flag of a football club
with the same name, that started being a section of the student's association,
but later became an autonomous entity. This club has also a long tradition in
portuguese football. If I recall correctly, it won a few Cups. Now it is playing
in the top league once again.
