probably also a wrong image. Our sources show a yellow and purple gyronny.
I could believe that one of us made an error is it wasn’t the fact that the
law on civic heraldry stipulates that the flag
must be made with the colours
present in the charges in the arms. And there’s nothing black in this
coat of arms, except the border. And a border ain’t a charge.

I’d say it’s simply an ill scanned image: the dark background pixels,
though almost black, have a slight purplish tinge, which becomes evident
when you set your monitor to maximum luminousity (high color bleed).
