About the flag
The flag is a banner of the arms. The county consists of the Southwest part of Sm�land, and the arms are like the arms of Sm�land, but with the lion placed upon a tripple mountain. This image had been used in the seal of the county for a long time before the grant of the arms.

Official blazon in Swedish: "I f�lt av guld ett p� ett gr�nt treberg st�ende, upprest, r�tt lejon med bl� bev�ring, vilket med b�da framtassarna h�ller ett stolpvis st�llt r�tt armborst med svart b�ge och pil av silver."Blazoned in English: "Or, a lion rampant Gules langued and armed Azure holding in front paws a Crossbow of the second bowed and stringed Sable with a bolt Argent, standing on a tripple Mount Vert."
