The community Nimnica is situated in the valley of the river V�h at
the foothills of the Str�ovsk� Highlands. Her roots reach back to ancient
times, but Nimnica became known only in 1952 with the building of the water
reservoir Priehrada Ml�de�e, when rich mineral springs were discovered.
In 1959 the doors of the youngest spa in former Czechoslovakia opened.
