The gonfalon  

From the site of Ukrainian Heraldry:
In April 15, 1994 the session of the town council approved the gonfalon: a rectangular canvas with a ratio of the sides: 1:1. The width of a top part is 1/5 of width of the gonfalon. It's yellow. The bottom part (4/5 of width) is dark blue. In the bottom part there is yellow letter "M" with the cross, which is in it.

On the 15th of April 1994 town council session has confirmed the modern emblem: in the azure field there is the or cross and above it a stylized picture of the letter "M".

The city

From the site of Ukrainian Heraldry:
City in Lviv Oblast. The first mention about Mostach (the first name) refers to 1404, when the town was given Magdeburg Right.
