This town
is also known as `The city of divine bliss' and is located at the
foot of the Shiwaliks on the east bank of the river Sutlej. Anandpur
Sahib was established by the 9th Guru of Sikhs , Tegh Bahadur, in
1644, when the Sikhs were forced into foothills of Himalayas by
increasing Mughal opposition. Guru Tegh Bahadur's severed head was
brought here from Delhi for cremation. Later on, Anandpur went to
become both a fortress and a school of Sikh learning.

Gurudwara Keshgarh Sahib and Anandgarh Fort.
