PILGRIMAGES - LODURVA

     Once the ancient capital of Jaisalmer rulers, this is an important place of pilgrimage for Jains. It is situated 16 km from Jaisalmer. Jaisalmer is the westernmost major city of India located in the state of Rajasthan. Jaisalmer has an extraordinary medieval feel, with it's golden sandstone walls and narrow streets lined with exquisitely carved buildings. It is situated at an altitude of 225 m.

Season & Clothing
The city is faces etreme climatic conditions where the temperature rises as high as 47 degrees celcius during summers and dips as low as -1 degree celcius during winters. Jaisalmer receives an annual rainfall of 30 cm. Suggested clothing includes tropical during summer and woollen during winter. The best season to visit Jaisalmer is from July to March.
