THE BARRIER REEF
The Barrier reef is made up of,Coral are the tiny marine polyp, they are living parts of the coral reefs. There are different kinds of corals, this variety gives the colourful appearance to the coral reefs. The coral reefs are the natural barriers made of the bodies of living and dead corals. The coral are made of 2 parts, the white part made of bodies zillons of Polyps and the colorful part is the living part of the coral the living polyps. The barrier reef has 1500 species of fishes,400 different types of corals, 400 molluscs-clams & sea slugs,500 specias of seaweeds, 215 species of birds, 16 species of sea snakes, 6 species of sea turtles and Whales visit in winter.
