Five golden eagles on a blue shield, two over two over one. The shield is surmounted by a golden mural crown with three towers.
I have read that these arms (azure, five eaglets 2, 2 and 1 or) are also known as Austria Ancient, being the arms of the rulers of the Ostmark before that district became a Habsburg possession (and a separate duchy, named Österreich, within the Holy Roman Empire). It is mentioned on the Swiss pages that the original Habsburg arms were or, a lion rampant gules.
