Information on the City's coat of arms on the City's Web site at: http://www.city.burlington.on.ca/pandr/heritage.htm Admittedly, it somewhat difficult to locate. The coat of arms was registered with The Register of All Arms and Bearings in Edinburgh, Scotland, on December, 12, 1975. The official City flag was selected from a design proposed by Canon Ralph Spence and shows the City's coat of arms on a gold Canadian pale with blue borders. This design was approved by City Council on March 12, 1984.
