Břest municipality flag

[flag of Brest] by Blas Delgado Ortiz, 24 Aug 2001, after image by Petr Exner.

Břest is in Kroměříž district in the east of the Czech Republic. The flag on this site is vertical red-white-red (1:1:1) with a green tree on the white stripe. The flag was adopted 29 Mar 1995. On the same page is a flag of some local society (on a photo)
Jarig Bakker, 10 July 2000.

Am I right that the tree here is for canting, since the name of the place means "Elm-tree"... (one of the benefits of watching Fredy Kruger movies :-)
Zeljko Heimer, 10 July 2000.
