Overview

Ipolydamásd is a small village in Pest county, closed to the Slovakian border 4 km north from Szob town on the left bank of the Ipoly River. The flag is vertical, contains three colours (white, blue and black edge of the CoA and the inscription). Symbolism of the CoA: The small fort relates to the historical small fort on the hill near to the north edge of the settlement which was destroyed at the time of the Turkish wars in the 16-17th century. The silver-blue wavy stripes relate to the rivers: Danube and the Ipoly. On the flying edge there is a silver fringe.
