Municipal flag

The municipalities of Borger and Odoorn merged 1-1-1998 to form the municipality of Borger-Odoorn (perhaps to distinguish it from Borger, Texas?), with c. 25.000 inhabitants on c. 273 sq. km. It is famous for its 'hunebeds' (old stone-age sites with huge boulders). Municipal seat: Exloo.
This flag is the old flag of the municipality of Borger and is provisional.
