Urk used to be an island in the Zuiderzee, administratively resorting under
Amsterdam. Now part of Flevoland and still famous for its fishery and of course
the 'Rock of Urk'. It lies in the southwest Noordoostpolder.
The fish on the flag is definitely not an orca (the name of several sportclubs
in Urk).
