Municipal flag

Beesel is halfway between Venlo and Roermond. It is a rural municipality with agriculture and some tile-making. Once every 7 years there was (is?) the folkloristic festival of dragon-killing ('draaksteken'), which undoubtedly is the theme on the flag.
