In 29 June 2000 Altai kray adopted a flag. Following other regions, it adopted
the pattern of the old SSR Russia, with coa in center. In
the blue band is a spike of wheat. Blue and red parts are separated by a very narrow
band which is (of course) white.

There are two Altay in Russian Federation:
Altai Republic and
Altai Territory. A few years ago Altai Republic
was the part of the Altai Territory, but now it is a
constituent republic of the Russian Federation.
