During the last one or two years the chuvash flag has been seen
locally more and more with the shade of red made to match the
russian national flags, and currently is hard to find
any of the older dark red flags (those in use has faded to pink). Of
course there wasnt any legal change, this is simply an trend in the flag
making business.

A dark yellow variation, quite often these days. I guess some flag manufactor
got its fabrics mixed up and sold the lot even so. I guess these will disappear
in a year or two.

Whereas normal red and yellow are used on the flag,
these loud colors are often replaced by softer shades
in other occasions, such as government buildings signs,
stationary paper, official forms and institutional
advertising. Very light yellow
()
and brownish red
(
)
are the colors used in these occasions, instead of yellow
and red. [These colors can be seen in a
wrong flag depiction
— ed.]

This seems to be out of fashion now, two years
later at least in goverment buildings signs: new
plaques have all the bright colors used on the
flag.
