Giac Lam & Giac Vien Pagodas are located on Lac Long
Quan Street in Ho Chi Minh City. Giac Lam Pagoda is believed
to have dated from the 17th century, and is probably the
oldest pagoda in Saigon, proof of early Vietnamese incursions.
Giac Vien Pagoda was built in 1805 in honour of Emperor
Gia Long. These pagodas were built for the monks of the
Buddhism of Great Wheel. A huge collection of old statues
and furnishings are some of the items displayed here.
