This old quarter consists of 36 streets where things are
for sale everyday. It still preserves the Hanoian images
that inspire the unique sensation of the past of Hanoi.
Numerous small streets bear the names of different companies
of workers such as The street of Cotton (Hang Bong), The
street of Sugar (Hang Duong), The street of Rice (Hang Gao),
The street of Charcoal (Hang Than), The street of Floor
Mats (Hang Chieu), The street of Floor Mats (Hang Chieu),
The street of goldsmiths, and The street of Fried Fish.
