THE TAJ HAHAL - THE GARDEN

Persian inspired gardens were landscaped from the main gateway to the foot of the Taj. Such gardens were introduced to India by the first Mughal emperor who brought with him the Persian love of flowers, fruit, birds, leaves, symmetry and delicacy. Like the Persian gardeners, landscape artists at the Taj were trying to exalt the perfection of heaven by designing a terrestrial reminder.
