Těšany municipality flag

[Tesany flag] by Jarig Bakker, 4 Aug 2002

A beautiful, but perhaps a bit too busy flag at this website of the vilage of Těšany in Brno-venkov, South Moravian region, Czechia. The book refers to the play "Marysa", a village drama, written by Alois and Vilem Mrstik, and first performed in 1894. The horse-iron symbolizes the famous Těšany smithy and the Těšany horses. The grapes are quite usual for that particular region. The flag can be found in Vexillologický Lexikon 2001, where we learn that it was adopted 27 Jun 2001.
