The village of P้reyb่re in the north of
Grand Baie is not an upmarket place but still has some prestigious
hotels. There is a excellent public beach which is popular
with tourists and locals as it is an ideal place to mingle
with locals and enjoy the delicacies sold by street vendors.
This delightful little cove is midway on the coast road
between Grand Baie and Cap Malheureux. The deep clear, blue
water makes it one of the very best bathing places on the
whole island.
