Brunei Museum

Brunei Museum in Bandar Sri Begawan Brunei

About 6.5km from Bandar Sri Begawan along the Brunei River is the architecturally pleasing building which houses the Brunei Museum.
Here the visitor can enjoy a variety of displays including a unique prized exhibit of Islamic Art. The large private collection of elaborately gilded Holy Korans are testament to the dedication and craftsmanship of the ancient calligraphers, among priced ceramics, glass, jewellery and carpet treasures.
Other galleries in the museum contain bronzes, Borneo Ethnography displays, a natural history section and an outline history of oil formation and production.
The Museum is open from 9am to 5pm everyday except Monday and between 9.30am to 11.30am and 2.30pm to 5pm on Friday.
