Located in Luanping County 130km from Beijing,
the Great Wall at Jinshan Ridge is famous for its strategic
importance and architectural engineering. Crawling along
the zigzag mountains terrain, this section of the Wall has
well preserved military facilities and warehouses and shop
buildings. The window frames of the Hualou Tower are made
of granite or marble and carved in decorative patterns.
This section is the best of the Great Wall as far as the
quality of construction is concerned.
