All of the nine casinos in Macau are operated under Government
franchise by the Sociedade de Turismo e Diversoes de Macau
(STDM) and the rules are standard in all gaming halls. The
largest casino is the Lisboa Tourist Complex. There is also
the Macau Palace in the Inner Harbour, the Casino Jai-Alai,
the Kam Pek at Avenida Almeida Ribeiro, The Hyatt Regency
Macau, New Century, The Holiday Inn, Kingsway and Mandarin
Oriental, all of which probably offer the widest range of
casino games in the world.
Visitors to the casinos should read the sign at each entrance.
Although there are no entrance fee to the casinos, administration
can refuse entry to foreigners under 18 years of age and
21 years for local residents. There is no dress code. Players
are also not obliged to tip any employees of the casinos.
