Wave-patterned mosaic tiles cover the 3,700 sqm square
of Largo do Senado. Created by Portuguese experts, it stretches
from the main road to the Church of St. Dominic and all
the way to the ruins of St. Paul. The square is closed to
all but essential traffic, and is surrounded by benches,
potted shrubs and a fountain in the shape of an armillary
sphere.
