The massive white modern multi-storey complex was designed
to blend in with the pervading Moorish-Byzantine atmosphere
of the earlier establishments, providing an excellent example
of the marriage between modern technology and ancient cultures.
It houses a shopping mall, offices and the General Post
Office.
