Located 55km from Kuala Terengganu, and surrounded by a
lush tropical jungle, Tasik Kenyir, or Kenyir Lake is a
beautiful landscape sanctuary for a quiet family outing.
Here, you could jungle-trek, nature walk, boating, canoeing,
swimming and fishing. The most popular feature of the Lake
is that it is fast gaining reputation as an ideal haven
for fishing enthusiasts.
Due to the cleanliness of the lake and abundance of food
supply, the Lake has a wide variety of fresh water such
as Baung, Toman, Kelisa and Lampan. Covering an area of
369 sq. km, it is also Malaysia's largest rock-filled hydroelectric
dam.
