Erected to mark the sacrifice of the Sultan of Selangor
inceding Kuala Lumpur to the Federal Goverment, this magnificient
marble arch incorporates architectural elements from the
former state government offices, the famous Sultan Abdul
Samad Building, and the old palace of HRH the Sultan of
Selangor. Flanked by ancient Selangor cannons, the Kota
Darul Ehsan straddles the Federal Highway as it crosses
the state border from Kuala Lumpur.
