The complex at Jalan Ampang (formerly known as the Tuanku
Abdul Rahman Hall), built in 1935 was originally the mansion
of a Malaysian planter and tin-miner. It served as the headquarters
of the British Army in 1941 and later the Japanese Imperial
Army. One of the numerous historical events to take place
under its roof was the installation of the first HRH the
King.
After undergoing extensive restoration, this building now
houses the tourist information complex which include an
exhibition hall, information counter, mini auditorium, a
souvenir shop, a restaurant and travel services counters.
Audio-visual Shows: 10 minute shows are screened daily at
10.00am, 12.00noon, 2.45pm and 5.00pm.
Cultural Shows: Cultural and traditional dances held 4 days
a week (tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday) at the Mini
Auditorium at 3.30pm.
