The Museum is just outside the Lake Gardens and is a palatial
structure built in the style of old Malay architecture.
Its imposing entrance is flanked by murals depicting aspects
of Malaysian culture and history. Inside are interestingly
laid out displays and exhibits on local history, culture
and traditions, arts and crafts; economic activities; local
flora and fauna; weapons and currency.
Outside are old locomotives, vintage cars and other relics
of transport from days gone by. Reconstructed Malay palaces
from other parts of the country also grace the expansive
grounds.
