The RM20 million museum, located 10 km from Alor Star, Kedah
compromises of six small circular halls and a larger called
Panorama Hall, built on a 4,600 square meter area at the
foot of Gunung Keriang, surounding by kilometers of padi
fields.
The museum is meant to exhibit diferent aspects of padi
cultivations. The idea for the museum was the idea of Tan
Sri Osman Aroff. A four-star 100-room hotel is now being
built next to the museum and a traditional padi community
village where padi planting will be demonstrated and other
activities held will eventually be constructed.
