The National Museum for History and Art on Fish Market
is composed of a main building and several adjacent patrician
houses dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. More than
120 rooms reveal all sorts of testimonies about the history
of the city and the Grand Duchy. The museum is divided up
into several main departments: archeology, classical and
modern art, a small room with an exhibition of coins, weapons
and the fortress, Luxembourg folklore, cultivation of home
dιcor from the 16th to the 20th centuries, natural history.
