It stands opposite the Franciscan Church. It is one of
the nicest Rococo palaces in Bratislava dating from the
18th century. The palace was owned by many people.
According to the wish of the last owner - Count Mirbach
- a gallery was established here. Emperor Leopold I. built
the Mariansky Column in the lower part of the square in
1675 in commemoration of the defeat of the anti-Habsburg
uprising.
