The Shellbanks are located at Kuröd in the eastern part
of Uddevalla. The area is a nature reserve with a unique
flora und fauna. The banks were formed after the last glacial
period. During the years the shellbanks have been used for
poultry-feed, road filling material, lime burning as well
as fertilizer.
