Bay of Islands

Bay of Islands in North Island

The Bay of Islands is one of the New Zealand's premier destinations with a stunning variety of scenery and activities including big game fishing. It was discovered by the explorer James Cook in 1769. The Treaty House at Waitangi was the spot where the historic Treaty of Waitangi was signed.

Internationally renowned for its big game fishing, the Bay draws fishing enthusiasts from all around the world. Its wonderful transparent water is one of the favorite playgrounds for watersports enthusiasts, for activities such as diving, sailing, boating and swimming with dolphins.
