Kathakali
Kathakali has evolved from Ramanattam, a dance drama envisioned
and created by Kottarakkara Thampuram, a fedual lord during
8th century A.D, who was a great admirer and promoter of traditional art
froms and later it was improved by Kapplingad Namboodiri.
The performance calls for a high degree of command over body and muscle
movements and facial expressions. Expressionof eyes and face holds key
to perfection.
