Mangyongdae Revolutionary Site

Mangyongdae Revolutionary Site in Pyongyang

Mangyongdae is situated 12km southwest from the heart of the city.
It is the cradle of the revolution and happiness where the root of Korean revolution grew up, thus it is dear to the Koreans.
Mangyondae means the beautiful place with ten thousand sights.
Comrade Kim II Sung, the great leader of Koreans and the founder if socialist Korea was born on April 15, Juche 1(1912). He was born as the eldest son of the father Mr. Kim Hyong Jik and mother Mrs. Kang Pan Sok.
